Wellness Ministry


COVID-19 SCH-Thursday- 7PM Sunday School, sunday 11 AM Worship | MONday - 7 PM- YPWW, Wednesday - 7PM Bible Study


The goal of Wellness Ministry:  To promote healthy lifestyle behaviors benefiting the physical, mental, spiritual, social, and emotional well-being  


Specific Assignments:

  1. Sponsor Quarterly Health and Wellness Seminars
  2. Schedule and coordinator, healthy activities, sports, and physical fitness events
  3. Promote community health and wellness events
  4. Schedule and coordinate health screenings
  5. Keep information available in the church lobby on health and wellness topics
  6. Give health tips and information to the church
  7. Coordinator of health emergencies in church members:
    1. Assess in all health emergency
    2. Follow emergency procedures (see FD Emergency Procedures)
  8. Provide  health and wellness instructions to individuals
  9. Assist the Pastor and Church Mother with the health of wellness concerns of the church as requested.
  10. Faithful Tithe payer and financial supporter of the church
  11. On a weekly/monthly basis review the COGIC website Ministries under Department & Ministries for current and updated information regarding your work if you have internet capabilities
  12. Receive training for the use of the one-call system to notify your members through voice and email procedures.  
  13. As a leader, please ensure that you are in touch with your members when you have not seen them in a few services and if there is sickness, death, etc.,   
  14. Attend and participate in ALL church services, events, programs, and meetings


You can make the stir fry/casserole low sodium by using healthy selections cream of celery soup, choosing fresh or frozen veggies and choosing salt-free herbs and spices.
